Website design
We've seen a lot of advances in web content delivery over the years. The convergence of technologies like XML, CSS and DHTML has freed content from style, and the evolution of the DOM and AJAX continue to narrow the gap between web enabled and stand alone applications. These are reflected in our portfolio spanning 7 years - from clear image padded tables, to CSS / XTHML DIV based accessable layouts.

Application development
Swellnet is one of the most popular surfing websites in the world, but it's power comes from back end technology developed by Smartsite. The complex system, developed in PHP and MySQL, manages a dozen surf reporters posting daily reports, forecasts, and daily images and archiving in a decentralised way. The striking user interface was developed by Flash and design guru Corey Dodd, also based in Adelaide.
Open Source Integration
The Trading Door is one example of a customised OSCommerce installation. We created a new template and implemented a customised menu system, and also a simple content management system. Smartsite also developed the branding and logos for The Trading Door.
